Toddler Teacher: Full Time; 40 hours per week for 52 weeks. Schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM.

Position Purpose:  This position serves in a classroom to provide an appropriate social and emotional environment to expand children’s ability to learn, grow, and build trusting relationships. This role works in a classroom-based setting with typically and atypically developing children and provides daily supervision and support for children’s developmental needs. Positions may be reassigned to various classrooms/centers for program operations.

Pay Range: The current hourly wage ranges from $15.31 - $21.98 depending on education level and experience with an anticipated 9% increase beginning in September 2024.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience working in early childhood with children ages birth through five years and holding:

  • A higher education degree with 18 credit hours of foundational Early Childhood courses completed, or
  • A current Infant/Toddler CDA

Minimum requirements: 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate AND some college coursework OR ongoing ECE professional development.
  • Willing to obtain CDA within the first year of hire. Tri-County Head Start will provide opportunities for training support to obtain a teacher’s qualification, including CDA support and coaching.
  • Three months of previous experience working with children and/or youth in a professional setting.
  • Criminal Background Check required for hire.
